DfA Kenya Trust
Kenya Trust
DfA has been registered as a trust in Kenya (DfA Kenya Trust) since April 2017. This legal form corresponds to the German foundation. The trust is managed by five Trustees who form the Kenyan board. They manage the assets of DfA for the beneficiaries of our projects in Kenya. As a legal entity, the DfA Kenya Trust may own property (including land) in Kenya and conclude contracts. A tax exemption is also possible and is currently being pursued. The Trustees are Sr. Seraphine (Manager Sponsorship Project), Sr. Fabian (DfA trained dentist), Sr. John Mary (Administrator of Hospital in Asumbi), Felix Osanga (Managing Director DfA) and Christophory Angir (graduate of the DfA sponsorship project, civil engineer).
DfA aims to transfer more and more responsibility for the projects to the Kenyan partners in the future. The DfA Kenya Trust is a very important committee in this endeavor. The Trustees meet once a month via Zoom and make important decisions concerning the work of DfA in Kenya. Our aim is that as many decisions as possible are made and implemented in Kenya, and to monitor and provide support in the process of implementation.
