Dentists for Africa attaches great importance to transparency and has therefore joined the Transparent Civil Society Initiative. We are committed to making the following ten pieces of information available to the public and keeping them up to date.

3. information on the tax benefit

  • According to the last exemption notice received by us from the Erfurt tax office (tax number 162/141/19467) dated 27.02.2024, Dentists for Africa is exempt from corporation tax for the assessment period 2019-2021 according to § 5 para. 1 no. 9 of the Corporate Income Tax Act and from trade tax according to § 3 no. 6 of the Trade Tax Act.

  • DfA has four part-time employees. In the extended board, about 30 people work voluntarily for the association. About 50 people are involved in voluntary work in Kenya every year.

  • The total income in 2024 amounted to €1,066,265.12. (Note: These are preliminary figures. We will publish the final figures for 2024 after the tax audit has been completed.) More detailed information on the source of funds can be found in the 2022 annual report (2023 and 2024 are still under review).

  • Expenditure in 2024 amounted to €1,118,716.35, with administrative costs accounting for 13% (Note: these are provisional figures. We will publish the final figures for 2024 after the tax audit has been completed.) Our information on the use of funds can be found in the 2022 annual report (2023 and 2024 are still under review).
